Dr Zdanowicz is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bern University Hospital, Inselspital in Bern. She is also the Clinical Head of the Maternity Unit and is currently completing her subspeciality training in Feto-Maternal Medicine. Her main research areas focus on peripartum hemorrhage and patient blood management, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy as well as prenatal diagnosis in ultrasound.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, USA, Dr Zdanowicz completed her medical studies with a MD at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Muenchen, Germany, with clinical training in Australia, Canada, Switzerland and Poland.
Dr Zdanowicz initiated studies on peripartum hemorrhage and patient blood management at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bern University Hospital, Inselspital. She is involved in several interdisciplinary clinical and research projects at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Bern University Hospital, Inselspital. Her research has been published in international scientific journals and presented at international scientific meetings. Dr Zdanowicz completed a Research Fellowship at the Department of Obstetrics and Prenatal Medicine, University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany in 2021. In addition, she is responsible for simulation-based obstetric training at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bern University Hospital, Inselspital.

Mirella Ezban. Ph.D. has been working at Novo Nordisk for more than 40 years and for 25 years as Scientific Vice President in Global research. She has been a major contributor to the research and development of Novo Nordisk coagulation product pipeline (NovoSeven, Novoeight, Esperoct, Refixia and Mim8). She has published more than 100 peer review papers within the field of coagulation and haemostasis.

Dr Di Renzo is also full Professor at the Dept of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the I.M. Sechenov First State University of Moscow since 2019 and since 2022 he is distinguished scholar of the PRB Unit of NIH-NICHD, Bethesda, USA. Since 2022, he is director of the Alliance for Global Women’s Medicine ( GLOWM , www.glowm.com ) the educational platform of FIGO, after being General Secretary of FIGO for two terms (2012-2018) . He was Secretary general and now co-President of the New European Surgical Academy (NESA, www.nesacademy.org ) since 2010. He holds multiple other positions including Founder Editor of the Journal of Maternal Fetal and Neonatal Medicine, corresponding Editor of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Hon Editor in Chief of the Chinese Journal (in English language) “Maternal Fetal-Medicine”. He was an Advisory Board Member for the March of Dimes Foundation based in New York ( 2012-2018) . Further, he is honorary member of 33 different scientific Societies among which a Fellow ad eundem of RCOG and a Honorary Fellow of American ACOG and of Indian ICOG. He was also member of the WHO Strategic Committee on “Maternal and Perinatal health”. Prof. Di Renzo is an Honorary Professor and Doctor Honoris Causa in Medicine and Surgery at respectively 15 and 6 different Universities throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States. He is an Academic Member of the Romanian and Russian Academy of Sciences. Prof. Di Renzo has received six awards for his work in human reproduction and maternal-infant's health, scientific research, and teaching. He has organized more than 600 international congresses and courses, some of these are held regularly (Diabetes in Pregnancy: DIP, Birth, World Congress of Maternal Fetal and Neonatal Medicine, TWINS, etc). His scientific production comprises over 1,500 papers of which more than 490 have been published in peer reviewed international journals ( HI 62; i10 index 221) and more than 100 books. He has been an invited speaker in over 1,600 national and international congresses and meetings and in academic courses in over 120 countries.
Nandor Acs

Nandor Acs graduated from Semmelweis University Medical School in Budapest, Hungary, in 1992. He is an Ob/Gyn specialist with board examinations in obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, and clinical pharmacology. He is a full professor and Head of the Ob/Gyn Department of the Faculty of Medicine at Semmelweis University, as well as CMO at the Femmed Institute for aesthetic gynecology in Budapest. Prof. Acs also holds a Ph.D. degree and an MBA in health economics. He has organized several national and international congresses and teaching courses, and has published more than 400 papers with around 2400 citations. He is a member of several eminent medical societies and organizations. Prof. Acs has more than 15 years’ experience in the use of NovoSeven for severe peripartum bleeding.
